2024 Old Timers' Parade

Thursday July 4, 2024

This parade started in the 1940’s and it is a time for all of BLUE RIDGE to come together and celebrate the 4th of July as well as the way Blue Ridge, Georgia used to be. Bring your antique vehicles, dress in period attire OR not, it is up to you. If you, your organization, your business, your church, etc would like to participate in the parade contact Pam Fink and she will answer all your questions.

Calling all businesses in the downtown area! Please advertise the “Old Timers Parade” by decorate your store windows, telling all your customers when the parade will start and MOST importantly, be in the parade!

Seed and Feed Marching Band will be participating in our parade this year

This year we are adding a Sensory Sensitive Block to the parade route

We are excited to announce a special Sensory Sensitive Block at this year’s Old Timer’s Parade, designed to ensure everyone can enjoy the festivities in a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. This section of the parade route offers a quieter, less stimulating environment for individuals with sensory sensitivities and their families. Around 980 East Main St. Blue Ridge.

What You Can Expect

  • Lower Noise Levels: Enjoy the parade without loud music and sirens. We’ve lowered the volume to create a more comfortable experience.
  • Less Crowding: This area is designated to be less crowded, providing ample space for everyone to move around freely and comfortably.
  • Relaxed Pacing: The parade will move at a slower pace through this section, making it easier for everyone to enjoy the sights without feeling rushed.
